KYBELLA® is a synthetic version of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring substance that aids in fat absorption. It is a fat-reduction treatment that is used to permanently reduce tiny areas of fat throughout the body, such as a double chin, bra bulges, inner thigh fat, and belly fat.

According to the KYBELLA® website, the active component in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid.

Deoxycholic acid is a chemical that occurs naturally in the body and assists in the digestion and absorption of dietary fat.

The KYBELLA® treatment kills fat cells when injected beneath the chin, resulting in a visible decrease in fullness under the chin. Thus, these cells can no longer store or retain fat after they have been eliminated, additional treatment is unlikely if you have achieved your desired aesthetic target.

Within 60-90 days, significant results are visible.

The KYBELLA® website advises that after obtaining your preferred look, no more or further treatments are required.

The number of treatments required varies per patient. Based on the volume and placement of your submental fat, as well as your unique treatment objectives, our Aspen Prime MedSpa professionals will help you calculate how many therapy sessions you require.

Each KYBELLA® treatment session should be at least one month apart, and no more than six treatments should be administered.

This therapy has a short recovery period and permanently eliminates fat cells by targeting the membranes of fat-storing cells. The cells can no longer accumulate fat after they have been removed.

It is usual to have bruising and swelling. Allow yourself at least two weeks before any activities or trips.
